Are you sick of riding over the same paddocks? Trotting in circles, seeing the same thing every day. Do you need a fun day out? Or just a ride with friends.

Why not come for a ride at Altura Park.

Our property is 680 acres; we have awesome scenery.... mountain views, limestone formations, patches of bush, a cave, ponds, wetlands, and waterfalls.

All treks are guided so must be booked. Make sure you let us know you are bringing your own horses when you book so there is no confusion.

We will take groups of 4 + people aged 12 years and older.

We will not combine your group with another group or our trekking horses.

We have a few rules for you to follow to ensure everyone stays safe and has a great time.....

All riders must  

- wear helmets at all times when mounted

- ride with a saddle & bridle 

- be able to control their horse in a group situation

- follow the guides’ instructions at all times

- be ready to ride at the booked time

- No dogs (no matter how small or well behaved) allowed on the property

- No extra horses or ponies allowed on the property 

- No other animals allowed on the property There is no need to warm up your horse before the trek Please tie your horses to your float or truck our yards are not available for use All rubbish must be taken with you or put in the rubbish bin provided All manure around/in floats or trucks must be removed from the property or put in the manure pile Upon arrival to the carpark riders please go to the office with payment, you will then be directed to float and truck area For everyone's safety including your horses no horses are to be unloaded in the main carpark

As Altura Park is a working farm we ask that all trekkers arrive no earlier than 1 hour before their booked trek and leave no later than 1 hour after the trek finishes.

You are welcome to bring along a camera, make sure you have it in a zip up pocket. While you are out riding drivers and anyone else who isn't riding are encouraged to look around our wildlife park and gardens. See our prices page for admission prices.
